Couples Therapy

Lost love?

You’ve gotten comfortable in your relationship – sometimes too comfortable. Your life has become routine. Where did the excitement go? When did “we” become that couple? It’s easier than you think.

Diane* knew she was in love the first time she saw John* cry in front of her. He was not the type to be vulnerable or wear his emotions on his sleeve, or in this case in his eyes. From that day on their love grew to where they became more than just friends or lovers.

But now that spark has gone. Where did it go and how did they let it just slip away so easily?

Is it you? Is it him? Or is this what they should expect after so many years?

Are they communicating?

The connection that brought them together was what made them profess their love. When they spoke to one another with compassion, they connected on another level.

Lose communication, start losing the connection. Is the message getting across when they are yelling or screaming at each other? When they go from one argument to the next?

Words can bring meaning without always having a confrontation. Is that why they only have a few friends that spend time with them? Could that also explain why their children barely visit from one holiday to another? Is that their new norm? Are they done?

The relationship is my client

How do you keep both parties engaged in the process and somehow avoid siding with one over the other (especially if one partner is more hesitant than the other)?

Well, for starters, this is about the two of you as a team.

You will both feel heard and equally acknowledged.

There are misconceptions when it comes to couples therapy. It is not a divorce-court-type of session where your therapist is expected to mediate or judge.

I am here to shed some light and provide a forum for the two of you to share your emotions and thoughts.

Rediscover your best friend and invite love back into your home.

Our work will help you develop the skills and techniques to effectively solve problems on your own. Simply learning how to communicate effectively is reason enough to try it.

Imagine less stress in your lives because you can better understand one another.

Imagine waking up excited to greet a new day with your partner.
