How long are typical sessions and how much do they cost?

Sessions are typically 50 minutes in length at $150 per session for individual and couples therapy.

Sessions can be 80 minutes in length at $190 per session for couples therapy.

How do I set up an initial appointment?

Do you accept insurance?

I am out-of-network; however, I can offer a monthly superbill (invoice) for clients with PPO benefits to submit for reimbursement, if benefits allow.

What is the cancellation policy?

Cancellations must be done at least 24 hours in advance to avoid late cancellation or no-show fee.

What is the population you work with and is there an age range?

My ideal clients range from 16 years of age and older.

My specialties include depression, anxiety, and trauma/domestic violence of all genders.

Should I expect assignments?

From time to time, you may be assigned exercises and readings, depending on what is beneficial for you throughout your process.

These assignments are intended to increase your inner strength, improve thoughts, as well as implement these developments outside of session and into your real life.

Which modalities are used in session?

Given the population I work with, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy are predominantly used due to their effectiveness.

What else do I need to know to make the most out of therapy?

You can’t fail at this. Just be honest, willing, and present. The rest will just follow.

What if my partner/spouse/companion does not want to give therapy a try?

Often the doubting individual can be concerned about several things: being vulnerable, feeling targeted in session, stigmas, cultural beliefs, etc.

It’s important to understand the benefits therapy can have on communication skills, trust, and compromise, to name a few. Also, some more food for thought; don’t you want to know you’ve tried all possibilities?

How is talking to a stranger going to help me?

Nothing is guaranteed, but you will feel much lighter, to say the least!

Think of a great venting session as your bare minimum. Now think of an objective professional who can help identify patterns, behaviors, and thoughts, so you can make the necessary improvements for a better you.

You always have room to grow and improve.

What type of tissues do we have on hand?

Kleenex, it’s ultra-soft!
